NOTICE OF NO SMOKING RULES

As many of you already know the board adopted an expanded no smoking policy at its last meeting on Monday, August 2, 2021. The rules were adopted partly to bring us in compliance with the Florida Indoor Clean Air Act found in chapter 386 Florida statutes. The new or revised rules are set forth below:

New Rule
Rules and Regulations
Common Elements
24. Smoking whether it be tobacco, e-cigarettes, vaping or any other alternative form of smoking is prohibited within any building including stairways, breezeways, hallways and elevators or within 20 feet of any entrance. This does not apply to the interior of the residential units.

Revised Rule
Pool Rules
18. Smoking whether it be tobacco, e-cigarettes, vaping or any other alternative form of smoking is prohibited on the pool deck and in the Clubhouse/Gym area and within 20 feet of any building entrance or gate entrance.

BOARD OF DIRECTORS MEETINGS
Meetings will be held using Zoom starting May 4, 2020.  Please contact Brittany Robberecht, Community Association Manger, at (321) 549-0951 or by email at brobberecht@lelandmanagement.com for meeting access.  All meetings will continue to be announced on the mail kiosk and notice board.
RECYCLE RIGHT – IF IN DOUBT, THROW IT OUT!
Plastic bags and wraps cannot be put in the recycle bins.  All recycle items must be put directly into the bins.  A small garbage can has been placed in the recycle area for you to throw bags/wraps away or you can use the trash compactor. All items must be rinsed and ALL boxes flattened.  Large flattened boxes can be stacked to the back of the recycle area.  Recycling right lowers the cost of garbage disposal.
ACCEPTABLE ITEMS: Plastic bottles with caps & containers; food & beverage steel, aluminum, & tin cans; paper; flattened cardboard & paperboard; empty milk, food & juice cartons; glass bottles & jars; and unsoiled pizza boxes (if it is greasy throw it away).
DO NOT RECYCLE:  Plastic bags, wraps & film; flexible packages (chip bags, juice & soup pouches); garden hoses; rope; wire & string; diapers; cups with plastic or wax coatings; polystyrene foam & plastic; soiled paper towels; food waste; needles; scrap metal or auto parts; tires; and large household items.  Large items can be placed in Bulk Area.
